The concept behind this photoshoot was an adaptation of the current “Office Siren” Trend. This trend, made popular by Gen Z on TikTok, is often criticized for the sexualization of corporate wear. My reinterpretation features outfits that are HR approved, while maintaining the spirit and essence of the Office Siren.

The concept behind this photoshoot was to portray the sacred girlhood act of getting ready together for a night out. The narrative of this shoot follows two girls, beginning in lounge then eventually getting ready to go out. Inspiration for the vintage 2010’s influenced styling incorperates the point of veiw of my generation watching our older sisters, or girls on T.V. practing this behavior. We looked up to their friendships and it created a formative impact on how we engage in our own. This element of nostalgia further encapsulates the overall emotions of understanding, safety, and love felt within the “getting ready” expirience in feminine and youth culture in the U.S.

The concept behind this photoshoot was an adaptation of the 1985 cult classic film “Clue”. Utilizing skills such as organizing, planning, creative vision, and problem solving allowed me to bring River City Fashion Editor Julia Karn’s vision to life. One of my more involved projects, I scouted locations and coordinated the collaboration between our organization and Lex’s of carytown. I was responsible for all communication with Lex’s as well as the resposible party for the over $5,000 worth of garments borrowed, which were returned in perfect condition.

The concept of this photoshoot is the feeling of nostalgia. As artists and fashion professionals, many of us were told as kids “life is not a fashion show”. This shoot is an homage to the fact that for some of us life IS a fashion show, and we love it.

The concept behind this photoshoot was born from heartbreak experienced by both myself and my friend and colleague Summer DeCiucis. Upon opening up to each other about our experiences, we determined the best way to release our pain was to express it in our art. I was inspired by the Indie movie The Love Witch, and the beautiful romantic 60’s aesthetic that feels like a dream. In the true indie spirit with just us, my assistant and the wonderful models we bought ourselves flowers created our own bittersweet ending.

The concept behind this photoshoot was the current “Gorp Core” streetwear trend. The trend features outdoor wear reimagined, and promotes using items from one’s own closet pushing back against overconsumption. This shoot reimagines gender with menswear looks modeled by femmes. My Creative Director at the time, Amaris, allowed me to pitch this concept as well as organize the collaboration with CeeBlues Store, a local Richmond brand that I look up to. Both our minds together created unique looks, and Amaris’ willingness to let me take the lead on this project led me to a great opportunity for growth. Learning from Amaris was a great privilege!
